Social Planner Category Queues Are Now Editable with Calendar View and Easy Rescheduling
Social Planner Update: Category Queues Are Now Editable
Managing a consistent posting schedule is easier with the latest Social Planner improvements to Category Queues. You can now edit, reorder, reschedule, and visualize queues without having to rebuild them from scratch. This is especially helpful for teams managing multiple brands, seasonal campaigns, and frequently changing content calendars.

What’s New in Category Queues
Edit Category Queues (No More Rebuilding)
You can now update an existing Category Queue and fine-tune what’s already scheduled.
Editable fields include:
- Post caption (and related sub-fields)
- Posting frequency
- Queue timeslots
- Post order with drag-and-drop reordering
Note: Rescheduling a single post within a queue is not supported. Changes are designed to be applied at the queue level.

New Calendar View for Queues
Category Queues now include a dedicated calendar view, making it easier to understand your posting plan at a glance.
Available views:
- Weekly view
- Monthly view
This is useful for quickly spotting gaps, overlaps, or heavy posting days before they become a problem.

Reschedule an Entire Queue in One Step
Need to shift a campaign launch date or restart a content rotation? You can now move the entire queue to a new start date.
Rescheduling includes:
- A date picker modal to choose the new start date
- Smart auto-assignment that follows your existing frequency rules
- A confirmation step before applying changes

Queue Preference: Control Where New Posts Land
You now have more control over how new posts are added to a queue.
When adding new posts to a queue:
- Prioritize New Content enabled: new posts go to the top of the queue
- Prioritize New Content disabled: new posts go to the end and follow the existing schedule
- Enable Future Queuing: new posts created within a category are automatically added to its queue
This helps teams keep urgent announcements near the front while still maintaining long-term planning.
Add to Queue From the Post Composer
When creating a post, you can now add it to a queue directly from the Composer:
- Choose an existing category to append the post to that queue
- Create a new category to automatically create a new queue
This reduces the steps needed to get content into the right workflow.
Why This Matters
These updates are designed to reduce operational friction and make Social Planner workflows more practical for real-world teams. Benefits include:
- Less time spent recreating queues
- Faster adjustments when campaign timelines shift
- Smoother long-term content operations
- Better planning with calendar-based visualization
- More flexibility for multi-brand teams and agencies
If you’re managing ongoing content production, these changes help you stay organized without constantly reworking schedules.
