Publish Instagram Stories via Push Notifications
Planning Instagram Stories ahead of time is now easier in SMBcrm. You can schedule Stories in Social Planner, get a reminder on your phone at the right time, then finish publishing inside Instagram so you can still use native tools like stickers, links, music, and trending audio.
What’s new
You can now schedule Instagram Stories with a “Publish via Push Notification” option. This keeps your content calendar organized while preserving the parts of Stories that need to happen inside Instagram.
How it works
1) Schedule Instagram Stories in Social Planner
In the Post Composer, you can now:
- Select Instagram Story
- Choose Publish via Push Notification
- Add your media and caption
- Add optional notes for the teammate who will publish


If you don’t have the mobile app installed, use the Download App CTA to pull up the QR code and install it.


2) Mobile push notification workflow
At the scheduled time, Social Planner triggers a push notification. When you tap it, it automatically:
- Loads the Story-ready media on your phone
- Copies the caption to your clipboard

From there, you can add Instagram-native elements like music, stickers, links, and trending audio, then publish manually.
Why it matters
This workflow is designed to help you stay consistent without giving up creative flexibility. It’s especially useful for teams and for anyone planning content in advance.

Tips for teams
- Use the optional notes field to clarify who should publish and what to add (for example, “Add a link sticker to the booking page”).
- Consider setting internal expectations for who will receive the push notification on posting days.
