Overview

SMBcrm now includes Social Planner widgets on the Dashboard, making it easier to track high-level social performance at a glance using aggregated social analytics.

These widgets are built on a unified social reporting foundation with configurable metrics, filters, and groupings based on what’s currently supported, while also setting up future expansion for additional social analytics.

What’s New in Social Planner Dashboard Widgets

New social analytics widgets on the Dashboard

You can now add Social Planner widgets to your Dashboard to monitor performance without jumping into separate reporting areas.

Supported aggregated social metrics

These widgets can report on:

  • Posts
  • Likes
  • Comments
  • Shares
  • Impressions
  • Reach
  • Followers

Filters you can configure

Filter results by:

  • Platform
  • Social account
  • Date range

Grouping options

View performance grouped by:

  • Date
  • Platform
  • Social account

Widget types supported

  • Numeric widgets are available for key social metrics
  • Designed on a scalable reporting endpoint to support future widget expansion
  • Compatible with Dashboard widgets, Custom Reports, Snapshots, and Templates

Current Limitations to Know

To set expectations, a few items are not included yet:

  • Post-level metadata (post name, image, description) is not included
  • Subscriber, views, clicks, and advanced engagement metrics are not supported yet
  • Unsupported filters (post type, tags, source, status) are excluded automatically
  • Metrics are aggregated and not available as granular time series per post

Why This Matters

These Social Planner widgets help you quickly answer basic questions like: Are we posting consistently and is engagement trending up or down across platforms?

By keeping the view directly on the Dashboard, teams can make faster decisions, spot issues earlier, and reduce time spent digging through multiple reports, especially when managing multiple social accounts.
